Stephen Eulau, M.D.

Dr. Stephen Eulau

Dr. Eulau became active in prostate brachytherapy in the mid 1990’s and established the ultrasound guided prostate implant program at Stanford University. He joined SPI in 1998 where he worked for many years with Dr. John Blasko. His investigational work has been presented at many national meetings and he has established brachytherapy programs at multiple sites in the western US. He specializes in both low dose (LDR) and high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy and is the Medical Director of the Seattle Prostate Institute.

 


Robert Takamiya, M.D.

Dr. Robert Takamiya

Dr. Takamiya earned his B.S. and masters degree in electrical engineering at Columbia University then completed medical training at New York University and residency at the University of California at San Francisco. He is a speaker at the Image Guided Radiotherapy course, was an ABS fellow in 2003, and has published multiple research articles. He serves as the medical director at the Swedish Cancer Institute at Stevens Hospital and is the Director of Education at the Seattle Prostate Institute.

 


Robert Meier, M.D.

Dr. Robert Meier

Dr. Meier received his medical degree and residency training at UCLA and served on the clinical faculty at Stanford University from 1990-2005. He joined the Swedish Group in 1997, and serves as the Medical Director of the Swedish Cancer Institute at Northwest Hospital. He has combined his expertise in brachytherapy and Gammaknife radiotherapy to develop a national multi-institutional trial evaluating Cyberknife radiotherapy for localized prostate cancer (NCT00643994). He is the lead investigator on this trial, and has lectured extensively in the United States and Europe.

 


Brian Lee, M.D., Ph.D.

 Brian Lee, M.D.

Dr. Lee received his medical degree from Yale University and completed his residency training at the University of California, San Francisco.  In 2011 he was voted "Top Doctors" in Seattle Metropolitan Magazine.  He has combined expertise in prostate brachytherapy - practicing at the Swedish Cancer Institute at Highline Medical Center in Burien - and Gammaknife and Cyberknife radiotherapy - practicing at the Swedish Medical Center Radiosurgery Center in Seattle.

 


Daniel Landis, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Daniel Landis

Dr. Landis graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine combined M.D., Ph.D. program and completed his residency at the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program in Boston. He was trained in prostate brachytherapy by Drs. Anthony D’Amico, Anthony Zietman, and Irving Kaplan. There he also focused his education towards specialized techniques of external beam radiation including Cyberknife and IMRT. He has published multiple manuscripts related to prostate radiotherapy and lectures at SPI’s educational series.
